Welcome to the Home page of the Silver Fox – born in the South Yorkshire mining village of South Hiendley.
Adrian Wright studied at Barnsley Technical school where he gained 6 “O-levels”- prizes for Chemistry and Metal Work, followed by the College in Barnsley and subsequently Rotherham College of Technology. ( Now a University ).He declined the offer to the first 6 students ever to be offered a sixth form place to stay on for a”A-Level”, having been accepted as a student engineer with the the Central Electricity Authority based at Wakefield Power Station.
He emerged with a Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Dip.E.E and a first class degree equivalent, passing the then Institution of Electrical Engineering part Three examination and subsequently becoming a chartered Engineer in 1975

On taking severance in 1993 following the reorganisation of the Power Supply industry, after a brief 12 month spell working for a contractor at the Ratcliffe Power Station he formed his own business in the IT Industry. Silver Fox Computers
Following the rend of his Apprenticeship in 1963 he became a General Assistant Engineer at Wakefield Power Station. In late 1964 he was appointed Assistant Relief Control Engineer at Meaford “B” Power Station in Staffordshire. This was followed bu further posts 1n 1966 at Rugeley Power leaving in 1974 having reached the post of Assistant Shift Charge Engineer. He spent the last 20 years of his career at Ratcliffe Power Station reaching the post of Senior Engineer.
